ZIMBABWE women have qualified for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in Nepal after beating Uganda by five wickets.
Chasing 120 for victory, Zimbabwe reached their target with 14 balls to spare after a clinical bowling performance had restricted Uganda to 119-7 from their 20 overs.
Apart from securing their place in Nepal, Zimbabwe advance to the tournament final where they face either hosts Namibia or Tanzania.
Nepal is set to host this 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier tournament from January 12 to February 2, 2026.
The matches will be held at the Lower Mulpani Cricket Stadium and the Upper Mulpani Cricket Stadium in Mulpani, Kathmandu.
Ten teams will compete in the Global Qualifier, vying for four spots in the main event of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in England and Wales.
